Next, we will take you to a deeper understanding of the characteristics of DC01 steel, its application scenarios, and how we can provide you with the most suitable solution based on your needs.
What is DC01 Steel?
DC01 steel, or 1.0330, is a non-alloy quality steel with low carbon. Made as flat sheets by cold rolling, it has a smooth surface and good formability. Types include DC01-A, DC01-B, and electro-galvanized DC01+ZE (1.0330+ZE) under EN 10152. Related standards are EN 10130 and EN 10131. Variants DC03 to DC07 offer better formability. It is used for automotive parts, appliances, and metal products.
DC01 Steel Properties
- Low Carbon, High Toughness – With ≤0.12% carbon, DC01 resists brittleness and absorbs impact, ideal for structural and safety components.
- Cold-Rolled, Smooth Surface – Precision cold rolling ensures a flawless finish, consistent thickness, and suitability for coatings.
- Excellent Formability – High tensile strength and ductility allow complex shaping without cracking, reducing waste and costs.
- Electroplated Zinc Protection – Uniform coatings (ZE25, ZE50, etc.) prevent rust, extending lifespan and lowering maintenance.
- Strong Weldability – Low carbon enhances weld strength, ensuring durable, stable connections, even after electrogalvanizing.
- Versatile Surface Grades – DC01-A and DC01-B options meet diverse quality needs, from automotive to appliance applications.
- Eco-Friendly & Recyclable – Low-carbon production reduces waste and supports sustainability.

How Does The Corrosion Resistance Of DC01 Compare To Other Low-Carbon Steels?
DC01 steel’s natural corrosion resistance is similar to other low-carbon steels, but SteelPRO Group’s electrogalvanizing treatment (DC01+ZE) greatly improves its corrosion resistance. Our zinc coating is uniform and thick, effectively resisting wet or corrosive environments, extending service life and outlasting untreated low-carbon steel.
