Product Detail
S235 galvanized steel sheet is a common carbon structural steel material widely used for its strength and ductility. It meets the EN 10025 standard, with at least 235 MPa yield strength and 360-510 MPa tensile strength, able to withstand certain pressures and suit various environments. The galvanized coating provides additional corrosion protection, especially suitable for outdoor or humid conditions. It acts as a “sacrificial anode” when slightly damaged, delaying rust formation and offering long-term corrosion resistance.
Common galvanizing methods include hot-dip and electro-galvanizing. The former has a thicker coating, offering stronger corrosion resistance but a rougher surface, while the latter provides a smoother, more polished finish.
S235 galvanized steel also has excellent weldability and cold workability, allowing it to be bent, cut, and stamped easily. Most of the steel can be recycled at the end of its life cycle, reducing resource consumption. These characteristics make it a popular structural and processing material in construction, machinery manufacturing, and the automotive industry, particularly suitable for building structures, industrial equipment, vehicle chassis, and outdoor facilities.
