Product Detail
20Cr steel plate is a reliable and versatile alloy carburizing steel with higher strength and hardenability than regular carbon steel. After heat treatment, such as normalizing or quenching and tempering, it offers balanced strength and toughness without temper brittleness tendencies. When carburized or carbonitrided, the surface becomes harder, with excellent wear resistance and some corrosion resistance. This makes it suitable for producing parts such as gears, shafts, cams, worm gears, and piston pins, particularly where both high surface hardness and core strength are required.
In its quenched and tempered condition, 20Cr steel handles medium-impact loads well. It also has good machinability and cold deformation plasticity, which allows for efficient cold drawing and other machining operations. Additionally, its weldability ensures it can be used across different applications. Due to these attributes, 20Cr steel is widely utilized in machinery manufacturing and automotive parts.
