- Annealing: Heat the 316L plate to between 1010-1120°C, keep it for a period of time, and then cool it rapidly (usually water or air cooling).
- Solution Treatment: Heat the material to a certain temperature (usually 1010-1120°C) and cool it rapidly.
- Stress Relieving: Not applicable to 316L stainless steel.
- Quenching and Tempering: 316L is an austenitic stainless steel and is usually not quenched and tempered.
