- Reason: 304 stainless steel sheets do not benefit from normalizing.
- Annealing
- Temperature: 1010°C – 1120°C (1850°F – 2048°F)
- Process: Heat to the specified temperature and cool slowly in the air or water to relieve stress and soften.
- Quenching
- Not recommended
- Reason: Causes brittleness; 304 is not designed for hardening through quenching.
- Tempering
- Not applicable
- Reason: Unnecessary due to lack of hardening potential.
