The main heat treatment method for SS 309 Strip, Bar & Coil is annealing, which is not suitable for quenching and tempering.
- SS 309 Strip
- Annealing: Heat between 1038°C and 1121°C, followed by rapid cooling (usually water quenching or air cooling).
- Stress Relieving: Heat between 843°C and 899°C, followed by slow cooling.
- SS 309 Coil
- Bright Annealing: Annealing is performed in a controlled atmosphere (such as hydrogen), heated to between 1038°C and 1121°C, and then rapidly cooled.
- Annealing: Heating between 1038°C and 1121°C, followed by rapid cooling (usually water quenching or air cooling).
- SS 309 Bar
- Solution Annealing: Heat between 1040°C and 1150°C, followed by rapid cooling (usually water quenching).
- Stress Relieving: Heat between 760°C and 815°C, followed by slow cooling.

We use different packaging methods for different types of stainless steel materials to ensure their safety and integrity during transportation.
- 309 Stainless steel strip packaging
We carefully wrap each roll of strip with anti-scratch film to ensure a smooth and intact surface. The strip is then securely fixed in a special slot and placed in a sturdy packaging box with cushioning material inside to protect the strip from vibration and compression during transportation. The packaging box is clearly marked on the outside to remind you to handle it with care. - 309 Stainless steel coil packaging
The coil is first wrapped with multiple layers of protective film to prevent corrosion and scratches. It is then firmly placed on the coil bracket using professional equipment and encapsulated as a whole in a sturdy wooden box or metal frame with sufficient cushioning material. The size, weight and handling instructions are clearly marked on the packaging to ensure safe transportation. - 309 Stainless steel bar packaging
Each bar is individually wrapped with bubble film or foam sleeve to protect the surface. According to the length and quantity, choose a suitable carton or wooden box as the outer packaging, and set up partitions inside to ensure that the bar is stable and does not shake. Detailed product information is marked on the outside of the packaging box for easy identification and handling.
