Industries & Applications
Industries & Applications
Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Roofing: Widely used in homes, warehouses, and factories, SGLD Galvalume provides a durable, cost-effective, and low-maintenance roofing solution, with reflective properties to aid in energy efficiency.
Agricultural Buildings and Cold Storage: Ideal for barns, sheds, and cold storage facilities, this material resists moisture and corrosive elements, while its reflective efficiency helps stabilize temperatures and reduce cooling costs.
Wall Cladding and Architectural Applications: Frequently applied to exterior walls and modern architectural facades, it adds durability, weather resistance, and a contemporary aesthetic to visible building elements.
Solar Panel Mounting and Infrastructure Projects: Serves as a robust base for solar panels and is also used in transportation infrastructure such as bridges and railway shelters, offering strength and corrosion resistance in varied climates.

There are some simple ways to tell the difference between galvanized steel and galvanized steel:
- Touch test: Touch the surface with your hand. SGLD Galvalume sheet feels smoother, while galvanized sheet will be slightly rougher because the galvanized aluminum-zinc coating makes the surface smoother.
- Observe scratches or edges: If you can see cut edges or small scratches, the corrosion resistance of Galvalume will make these places less likely to rust, while the exposed parts of galvanized sheet are more likely to oxidize and rust.
- Reflective effect: Observe the reflectivity under light. Galvalume sheet will have a stronger reflective effect because it has a higher aluminum content; while galvanized sheet has a relatively weaker reflectivity and is not as shiny as Galvalume.
- Look at the appearance: SGLD Galvalume sheet has a brighter, silvery-white surface with a fine grain feel; while galvanized sheet is a darker silver-gray with no grains.
Whether to choose SGLD Galvalume Roofing Sheet or galvanized steel roofing sheet depends mainly on your requirements for the use environment and durability. In short, Galvalume sheet is more suitable for long-term use and harsh environments, while galvanized sheet is suitable for projects with limited budgets and ordinary environments.
If your building is in a humid place, such as near the sea, or the environment is more corrosive (such as places with acid rain), then Galvalume sheet is a better choice. It contains aluminum in the coating, which is very corrosion-resistant and can remain rust-free for a longer time. The service life can reach 20-40 years, which is very worry-free.
If the environment is relatively dry, the climate is mild, or it is a short-term project, such as a warehouse, temporary building, etc., then galvanized steel sheet is sufficient. It is relatively cheap, and although it is not as durable as Galvalume in high humidity, it can still do the job in ordinary environments.
