Sheet Plate Heat Treatment
  1. Annealing:
    • Temperature: 1040°C – 1150°C (1904°F – 2102°F)
    • Process: Heat and cool rapidly in air or water to soften, improve ductility, and relieve stress.
  2. Quenching, Tempering, Normalizing: These processes are unsuitable for 310 stainless steel due to its austenitic structure.
  3. Hot Rolling: Heat above recrystallization temperature and roll to enhance strength and toughness.
  4. Cold Rolling: Roll at room temperature for precise dimensions and increased strength.
  5. Flattening: Ensure flatness and uniform thickness.
  6. Slitting (Foils only): Cut foils into narrower strips for specific widths.
