- Temperature: 790°C – 900°C (1454°F – 1652°F)
- Process: Heat to the specified temperature, hold, then cool slowly in air to relieve internal stresses and improve ductility.
- Stress Relieving
- Temperature: 300°C – 400°C (572°F – 752°F)
- Process: Heat to the specified temperature, then cool slowly to reduce residual stresses from previous processing steps.
- Normalizing and Solution Treatment
- Temperature: 850°C – 1050°C (1562°F – 1922°F)
- Process: Heat to the specified temperature, then cool in air (normalizing) or rapidly cool in water or air (solution treatment) to refine grain structure and maintain a homogeneous composition.
