- Solution Annealing: Heating the material to 1090°C – 1175°C and then cooling it rapidly (usually in water).
- Annealing: Similar to solution annealing, it can eliminate internal stress and restore the flexibility of the material by heating to the appropriate temperature and then cooling it slowly.
- Quenching and Tempering: 904L stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel and cannot be hardened by quenching and tempering like carbon steel or low alloy steel.
- Aging Treatment: Aging treatment is not suitable for austenitic materials such as 904L.

- Excellent corrosion resistance: especially suitable for strong acidic media such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, and can effectively resist pitting and crevice corrosion.
- Low carbon content: low sensitivity to intergranular corrosion after welding, excellent welding performance.
- High strength and toughness: maintain good mechanical properties in high and low temperature environments.
- Good processing and weldability: easy to form and weld, and the performance after welding is basically unaffected.
- Oxidation resistance: suitable for high temperature environment, with low magnetism.
